Lake Terramuggus in charming Marlborough, CT is a quiet lake with motors limited to 3.3 HP and offering 83 acres of water maxing out at 43 deep with a mean depth of 21.4...great trout & bass fishing!
The great thing about living on Lake Terramuggus is that because it is owned by the town, only town residents have access to quiet laid-back lake. Though private homes are built around much of its shores, Lake Terramuggus boasts a sandy beach and play scape.
Life guards are on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Swimming classes are offered to town children as are general water safety education classes.
Lake Terramuggus offers summertime activities for its community and this can become your community too, according to Bill Black, First Selectman of Marlborough.

The Town of Marlborough is planning and building biking and walking trails that follow the waterways in and around Lake Terramuggus. The project began in 2005 they have received a greenway designation for adjacent Black Ledge River and trails will be appearing in and around Lake Terramuggus within the next year or two.
Ultimately Lake T.s hiking/biking trails will connect with the Airline Old Rail Road Trail which touches Portland heads through Westchester and ultimately be a direct link between New York and Boston.
This opens the possibility of Lake Terramuggians one day being able to hike or bike clear across New England and New York from their homes.
Lake Terramuggus is linked to the Salmon river which has the cleanest water in Connecticut. So this is great news for residents concerned about water quality.
Lake Terramuggus residents goals are to keep river basin clear, improve habitat along river, and to build the nature trails.

There is a public boat launch available to Marlborough residents only, and motors are restricted 3.3 hp or less generally used only by fishing boats requiring a small motor. Which makes this a very peaceful place.
Boats of choice are small and include sail boats, paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, crewing sculls.
Often you can see residents paddling around the placid lake just before sunset. Lake Terramuggus is ideal for kayaking enthusiasts.
