Comprised of three lakes, this pretty and peaceful lake restricts engines to 6HP which allows for a small fishing boat or pontoon style boat for recreational fun. You will also find people enjoying Bolton Lake in their sunfish sailboats, kayaks and canoes throughout the season and for complete tranquility you may want to enjoy a moonlit paddle around the lake. Located within 15 minutes to Hartford and an hour to the CT shoreline makes this lake area a great place to live year round or to enjoy a second home retreat.
Upper and Middle are located in Coventry Tolland Vernon vicinities and Lower Bolton Lake is located in Bolton.
A surface runoff feeds from Upper Bolton into Middle Bolton which is an artificial lake with a concrete and earthen dam. Middle and Lower Bolton lakes are connected by a spillway.
